Areas of expertise
After my training in Biology at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, I obtained a PhD in Ecology in 2006 at University Pierre & Marie Curie (Paris 6). My PhD research dealt with the ecology and evolution of interactions between anopheline mosquitoes and malaria parasites. I then spent three years as a European Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California in Davis (USA) and in the laboratory of Genetics and Evolution of Infectious Diseases (IRD-CNRS) in Montpellier (France). During my postdoc I studied the interactions between Aedes aegypti mosquitoes and dengue viruses using various approaches of quantitative and evolutionary genetics. In 2010, I founded my own research group at Institut Pasteur in Paris. In 2011, I became a CNRS Faculty Research Scientist. Since 2013, I am a Junior Group Leader at Institut Pasteur. I am currently involved in several national and international research programs on mosquito-virus interactions, with an emphasis on dengue.
